Complementing their new range of NEXUS IP camera products, the trade-only CCTV security products distributor COP Security has released three new PoE network video recorders (NVRs).
Part of the NEXUS IP range, the new NVRs offer products suitable for installation by those familiar with IP and those new to the technology, according to the distributor. The latest additions comprise the four-channel IP-NVR04P, eight-channel IP-NVR08P, and the 16-channel IP-NVR16P.
Joining the range of COP NVRs, the new NEXUS PoE NVR range offers true ‘plug and play’ connectivity, it is claimed, saving installation time and cost, with the benefit of less system ‘downtime’ for the end-user. By connecting a suitable IP camera to the unit via Cat5 cable, the installation is complete, COP says.
Each NEXUS NVR features on-board PoE (Power over Ethernet) designed to power static cameras up to 100m away, and comes with WD Purple hard drives for recording and evidential archiving. The products offer up to 5Mp resolution and 200Mbps recording rate.
As with all the Nexus IP products, the new NVRs are ONVIF compliant (the US-based standard for the interface of IP-based physical security products). This ensures integration into an IP camera system and when adding additional cameras to a new one. COP are offering a free remote set-up service as part of their after-sales service, and each unit is supplied with both MAC and Windows software for set-up across multiple platforms.
Gareth Rhodes, COP’s Sales and Marketing Team Leader, says: “The new Nexus IP range comprises everything required for an IP installation and the addition of the new NEXUS PoE NVRs offers installers and end-users even greater end-to-end system performance. As with all COP products, the new NVR range is backed by our extensive warranty and support package.”
