ONVIF, the US-based standardisation initiative for IP-based physical security products, will host a public interoperability demonstration and reception, during Security Essen in Germany, on September 25, 2014 from 4pm to 7 pm. The event’s at the Atlantic Congress Hotel, next to the Messe Essen fairgrounds.
ONVIF members such as Axis, Hikvision, Siemens, Meyertech, Panasonic and Dahua will showcase devices or clients that are conformant with Profile S for IP-based video systems or Profile C for IP-based access control. The event will also feature an overview by ONVIF Steering Committee Chairman Per Björkdahl, addressing ONVIF’s recent work such as the introduction of Profile G for video storage and recording, and the body’s outlook.
Björkdahl said: “At ONVIF, we continue to witness widespread adoption of our profile-based standards. These live demonstrations not only give our members the opportunity to show interoperability in action, but let everyone see just how many video, access control and recording products are now ONVIF conformant.”
