Norbain offer Axis network camera

by Mark Rowe

The electronic security product distributor Norbain can now offer the new bullet-style AXIS Q1765-LE network camera from Axis Communications.

The firms say that the camera offers full HD image quality, 18x optical zoom and built-in IR illumination. The product provides wide overviews as well as detailed images for identification purposes. The outdoor-ready AXIS Q1765-LE is the firms say for monitoring entrances, exits and perimeters, as well as for pole mounting for CCTV of parking lots or general city use.

A slim and solid bullet-style camera, it is designed for outdoor use even in challenging conditions, it’s claimed, as at traffic junctions.

The Q1765-LE has built-in and automatically adaptive infra-red LEDs. These allow the camera to cover at least 15m in the widest field of view and up to 40m in full tele view. The built-in IR illumination is the makers say beneficial for installations where around-the-clock surveillance, without artificial lighting, is required.

The camera is IP66/NEMA4X rated, making it resistant to water and dust. At install it’s said to be a one-cable installation, offering support for Power over Ethernet and AC/DC power.

Features include:

• Full HD (HDTV 1080p) image quality both day and night
• Surveillance Cabinet for both coax and fibre and AXIS T91A47 Pole Mount
• Memory card slot for storing recordings locally
• Two-way audio.
