IR pan and tilt IP camera

by Mark Rowe

Hikvision has added to its Easy IP solutions with an infrared (IR) pan and tilt IP camera. The DS-2CD2Q10FD-IW 1MP Mini IR network camera features HD720p real-time video with motorised pan and tilt. The housing has a built-in microphone and speaker, an SD card slot supporting on-board storage of up to 64 GB, a 100 MB/sec Ethernet interface plus Wi-Fi connectivity.

The camera provides a zero to 355 degrees pan range and a minus 20 degrees to 90 degrees tilt range of view. The Wi-Fi allows automatic configuration even for users with limited or no network knowledge it is claimed. With an IR range of up to 10 metres, the new camera features 3D DNR and DWDR image enhancement technology and zone configurable backlight compensation for day-night use in any lighting it’s claimed.

The DS-2CD2Q10FD-IW is the latest addition to Hikvision’s Easy IP range, which brings together cameras, NVRs (network video recorders) and VMS (video management software) for users to monitor their home or business in Full HD on their PC, tablet or smartphone.

Installation is a two-step process – plug the camera(s) into the NVRs PoE port(s), then connect the monitor and you’re ready to enjoy HD video recording without IP address forwarding. Easy Viewing allows you to watch and play live video any time and anywhere. Users just need to download the Hikvision EZVIZ smartphone app for free, by scanning the QR code on the back of camera through EZVIZ app, live video viewing and playback will be available over the internet remotely.

Users can now choose from a full range of Easy IP cameras, including indoor and outdoor bullet and dome cameras, mini-domes and cube cameras. Visit www.Hikvision.com.
