VIVOTEK has launched a series of network cameras with embedded PoE extenders, IB8367-R, IB8367-RT and IB8338-HR. The three cameras are bullet-style network cameras suitable the Taiwanese makers say for outdoor applications. The PoE extender embedded within the three models allows for PoE input and output and connection with other PoE network cameras without another power source, thereby aiding long-distance surveillance in factory areas, parking lots and crossroads, the makers say.
The IB8367-R and IB8367-RT models, which feature a 2-Megapixel CMOS sensor, offer viewing resolutions of 1920×1080 at 30 frames per second (fps). The entry-level IB8338-HR model comes with a 1MP sensor, enabling a viewing resolution of 720P at 30 fps. All models feature wide dynamic range, a removable infra-red-cut filter, built-in IR illuminators (effective distance of 30m), Smart Stream, and 3DNR. The models can capture images under challenging lighting it is claimed without sacrificing bandwidth.
The IB8367-R and IB8367-RT models are designed with Smart IR, ensuring consistent image output around the clock. To enhance sharpness and depth of field, all three models have a P-iris lens, which controls the lens iris with precision using a built-in stepper motor and maintains aperture through software control.
