Wavestore, the British developer of open-platform and Linux-based Video Management Software (VMS), has launched v6.12. The firm says the new version provide system integrators with the ability to apply more camera settings directly via Wavestore’s GUI, without having to enter camera set-up screens.
In addition, with a summary screen and with a click of a button, users can now see the status of all cameras installed across their site in the form of thumbnails, to identify camera positioning or potential issues, such as video loss.
Wavestore v6.12 sees the introduction of enhanced PoS integration which provides users with the choice of overlaying text captured from devices onto a video source or displaying it in a separate window. This applies to text from a variety of sources, including till systems, cash dispensing machines, and cash counting equipment. The metadata captured can also be intelligently searched with associated video displayed or used to generate events in real time.
Other new features include:
– Maps are now stored on the Wavestore NVR/HVR, making them centrally available to WaveView client software users with the relevant permissions.
– Improved device status icons have also been introduced to provide better situational awareness across a site when using maps.
– V6.12 introduces multicast compatibility
– Wavestore is now integrated with Tatille Vega ANPR cameras.

The firm reports that v6.12 is now shipping with all new orders and is available as an upgrade for existing users who are using v6 of Wavestore’s VMS. Integration modules are available to bolt onto existing solutions or can be ordered at the time of purchase with new solutions.
