Video information management

by Mark Rowe

Pelco has launched a ‘video information management system’, VideoXpert, available from the distributor Norbain.

According to the developers, VideoXpert features what the firm calls a plug-in architecture, and third-party integration. A user can aggregate video management systems (VMS) and manage video through a unified interface. The product offers a single Graphical User Interface (GUI). It’s
Microsoft Windows-based and comes with an embedded mapping interface.

A user can create user interfaces with up to six monitors, each able to display 16 video streams. The product will associate video with other information content, and supports digital PTZ in live or in playback views.
