Veracity at Intersec 2017

by Mark Rowe

Veracity, the IP video transmission, storage and display product company, reports an enlarged company stand at this year’s Intersec show in Dubai.

Veracity says it has seen considerable growth in 2016 across not only the Middle East but also Africa, India and Sri Lanka and will be demonstrating its products with three partners during Intersec 2017, which runs from January 22 to 24 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Veracity products will be showcased at the company stand (SA-H24), Mayflex (SA-D18), Norbain (North Hall, 2-C32) and also with Veracity’s storage systems marketing partner, Hanwha Techwin (S1-J26).

Veracity products on show include COLDSTORE, pictured, for video surveillance storage. The sequential storage system delivers much higher disk reliability, offers a 90 per cent power saving over equivalent RAID-based systems, it’s claimed, and lower total cost of ownership.

Offered as a 3U high, 150TB unit that uses only 0.4W per Terabyte, COLDSTORE also forms part of the TRINITY architecture which eliminates the need for Network Video Recorder (NVR) servers by allowing IP cameras to record directly to COLDSTORE. TRINITY is supported by cameras from Axis Communications, Hanwha Techwin, UDP, Mobotix and other open platform brands.

Also on display will be the transmission products and tools including the expanded HIGHWIRE Powerstar Ethernet over Coax portfolio which now delivers rack-mounted multi-channel options with Gigabit uplinks and POE power supplies, including power redundancy options. POINTSOURCE Plus and POINTSOURCE Wireless IP camera installation tool and the new TIMENET Pro NTP time server are also new products for Intersec.

James Ritchie, Business Development Manager for Middle East, says: “Since our entry to the market in 2014 we have seen a large increase in the number of RFQs which have come our way. The reliability and cost-benefits of COLDSTORE and TRINITY in projects which require data retention of up to 180 days is now widely recognised across multiple verticals, particularly where the end-user requires the ability to instantly remove a disk for evidential purposes. Veracity’s innovative products are essential for our community of installers to help differentiate themselves and deliver high value projects to customers with a wide variety of use cases and technical considerations.”
