UTC at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

UTC Fire and Security has released further details of the product launches planned for IFSEC, to be unveiled on its stand C90, Hall 4.

The new introductions will include the Aritech wireless PIRcam sensor, a combined camera-Passive Infrared (PIR) unit.

Mark Staples, UTC’s Pre-Sales Manager for the UK, says: “With technology that verifies as well as detects, housed in a neat single unit, the PIRcam is a very attractive new option for both commercial and residential customers.”

Also in the intruder range, the Advisor Advanced intruder panels now come with new end-user Apps.
And UTC will showcase a suite of perimeter detection products, ranging from acoustic cable to Active Infrared (AIR) beam devices.

Video being demonstrated on the stand will include high definition cameras, a set of new launch DVRs and NVRs, and transmission products. TruVision Navigator is a single, backwards-compatible software solution which now allows users to configure and manage the UTC video products while protecting their investment.

A new fully integrated software management system, the 8600 SMS, offers users the opportunity to manage their intruder, fire, access control and video all through one intuitive package.

Meanwhile for critical risk applications such as data centres and storage facilities, a new line of aspirated air detection devices now provides the earliest possible warning of potential fires. In the fire market UTC’s new end-to-end wireless solution adds to the best-selling Ziton range.

Mark Staples adds: “With all these exciting developments in intruder, CCTV, integration, access control and fire 2013will be a landmark Ifsec for UTC. We’re looking forward to demonstrating these new products to system planners and integrators on our stand.” For full details about the new products visit www.utcfssecurityproducts.co.uk
