DVTEL, INC, the US-based IP security product manufacturer, announces integration of the latest version of the Latitude network video management system (NVMS) with the C∙CURE 9000 by Software House, part of the Security Products business unit of Tyco.

Latitude NVMS is a way to manage CCTV over IP networks while C∙CURE 9000 allows remote management of multiple sites from a central server and global reporting for consolidated data tracking.

The DVTEL Software House module expands on C∙CURE 9000 by letting users view live and recorded video from DVTEL Latitude-connected cameras within the C∙CURE 9000 user interface. A user can monitor events such as motion and analytics. The resulting unified operating platform for access control and video can also perform video exports, take snapshots, use on-screen pan-tilt-zoom control, and trigger actions.

Cheryl Shea, Sr. Product Manager, Strategic Integrations, Tyco Security Products, said: “Both DVTEL and Software House offer opportunities to expand system functionality and provide greater value to security integrators and enterprise-class end users. Integration with DVTEL’s Latitude software platform provides large security environments a greater ability to maximise the value and ease-of-use of the C∙CURE 9000 platform.”

DVTEL add that the Latitude system supports multiple video compressions, and supports camera, encoder and server failover. C∙CURE users can identify Latitude-managed cameras using an on-screen display of the camera name, date/time and status (live recording or playback). Latitude-enabled cameras to be added to C∙CURE 9000 maps, and users can monitor the state of the devices and trigger a pop-up live view of a camera’s image, from the map. A user can also configure access control actions upon video and analytics events, so that the user can query for events later by the person’s name. Multi-directory support allows a C∙CURE 9000 operator to log in to different systems from within the same application.

Kim Loy, Vice President of Global Marketing and Chief Product Officer at DVTEL, said: “The addition of Latitude functionality provides greater value to C∙CURE 9000 Enterprise customers. Access control users at the enterprise-level require powerful video management functionality to gain a complete view of security operations. This strategic integration will enable us to work closely with Software House to provide fully interoperable, open security solutions in large-scale applications.”
