Mobility for government

by Mark Rowe

After recent CESG guidance for iOS devices including iPads, government departments can see the benefits mobility can bring to the workplace; however concerns linger with regards to the security of data.

nine23, already supplying the RAF with iPads, Mobile Device Management, Content Management System and an Enterprise level ecosystem with the RAF App Store, have partnered with Roke, an electronics engineering company. They will deliver Impact Level 3+ (Restricted+) security solutions, which will enable Defence, Blue Light and Civil Service Departments to conform to CESG guidance.

Stuart McKean – Director Business Development nine23Ltd said: “This innovative partnership will give the business owners and users of mobility at IL3+ an assurance that they have the most secure solution available to them when using the latest mobile technology. We look forward to working with Roke on further enhanced solutions using current and future mobile technology.”

And David Cole – Security Solutions Director, Roke, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us to build on our vast experience in information assurance, security and applications to deliver leading secure mobility solutions in partnership with nine23. Roke’s strategy is to deliver innovative solutions to both government and commercial customers and we look forward to working with nine23 to provide a new level of enterprise mobility.”
