Hikvision reports the integration of its SMART IP camera range with XProtect VMS (Video Management Software) from Milestone Systems with the release of XProtect Device Pack 7.3.

Hikvision SMART IP cameras feature Smart Imaging 3D Digital Noise Reduction (DNR), digital wide dynamic range, auto-switching infra-red cut filter (ICR) and electronic image stabilisation with three simultaneous video streams and up to 20 concurrent live-view channels. The encoding algorithm of the new Smart Codec enhances image quality by up to 30 per cent at very low bitrates, it is claimed, to minimise bandwidth and storage needs.
