Fault tracker system

by Mark Rowe

The monitoring station Farsight reports that with its new Yoursight fault tracker system, fault logging times are reduced significantly.

In the first month since going ‘live’ the system has reduced ticket raising times by 63pc while closing the same ticket is 84pc quicker than the previous system, the station says. Designed to increase the accuracy of fault handling, the new system is also saving time through efficient processes and an easier to use interface.

Joel Babb, IT Manager at Farsight, said: “These times make a huge difference for our customers and we are delighted with the results. Customers will also indirectly benefit from the fact that our operators can work through the ticket process even quicker now, allowing them to react to new enquiries even quicker and more efficiently. It is a win, win situation.”

Yoursight, which launched at the end of March, is cloud-based fault tracking. The updated software has been crafted to allow transparency for users, as well as communication between installers, users and Farsight operators.

“Feedback from customers has been extremely positive,” added Joel. “We have also received great feedback from Farsight operators too, who can now focus on reviewing camera footage and working hard for our customers. ”

The monitoring firm reports it’s already received positive feedback from customers. Will Kendrick, of Infield 4×4 in Leicestershire, praised the system saying “Yoursight is a great improvement over the previous fault tracker. It really helps me communicate with Farsight and keeps me up to date with what’s going on with my security system.”

The Yoursight system is accessible from the Farsight website, and is optimised for mobile devices (pictured, on tablet). Customers can now receive SMS and email notifications of faults and incidents, with the ability to add messages to the system from a range of devices. Visit: www.farsight.co.uk.
