Detica marketing chief

BAE Systems Detica has appointed Morag Lucey as Chief Marketing Officer to head its Marketing and Strategy. Morag will join the Detica Board, reporting directly to Managing Director Martin Sutherland, and be responsible for managing the company’s strategy, corporate marketing and communications, product marketing and partner relationships.

Martin Sutherland, Managing Director, BAE Systems Detica said: “This is a key appointment for us. As cyber security threats impact on world economies and as our clients are ever more concerned about securing their organisation, we believe that Morag will strengthen Detica’s ability to deliver a full portfolio of services and products that meet those needs.”

Morag Lucey, Chief Marketing Officer, BAE Systems Detica added: “Detica is an exciting and fast-paced business and I’m very much looking forward to helping the company develop strategies around its innovative security products and services that will enable us to provide our customers with solutions that protect their business while delivering business growth – both for our clients and for Detica.”

She joins Detica from Convergys, where she was SVP of Global Marketing and Product Management, and brings a wealth of technology experience. Prior to joining Convergys, she held numerous executive positions with companies such as Avaya, Nortel, SAP and Microsoft.

Morag has more than 25 years of global technology marketing experience specialising in market strategy, product management, partner ecosystems and integrated and brand marketing.
