Corps Security agreement with DVS

by Mark Rowe

Corps Security has an agreement with Cardiff based distributor, DVS. Their aim, to encourage more installers and end users to use remote security. Any companies referred from DVS that sign a three-year contract with the Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC) will receive a free digital video recorder (DVR).

Formed in 2003, DVS is multi-brand distributors of electronic security products. Scott Douglas, the company’s sales director, said: ‘DVS has thrived by embracing the many technological advances in the industry and we are now seen as one of the industry’s most proficient distributors of IP CCTV products. We always welcome the opportunity to join forces with other organisations that share a similar outlook and ethos, so when we were approached by Corps Security with a view to looking at ways to drive sales for our respective businesses, it was a easy decision to make.’

Each company will recommend the other’s services whenever and wherever possible. DVS has installation partners that use remote monitoring services for their end user customers, so recommending the Glasgow based CMC will help raise awareness of this facility. Similarly, Corps Security will advise its own installation and end user customers to use products and service excellence from DVS.

Every installation company that signs a new three-year contract with the CMC will receive a four, eight or 16 channel DVR. The DVRs are fully compatible with the CMC’s monitoring software and the exact model that the installer gets will depend on the number of cameras to be monitored.

Corps Security’s CMC business development director, Eric Roberts, added: ‘This latest agreement with DVS is part of our ongoing commitment to working with best-in-class organisations from all areas of the security industry, and it marks the first occasion that we have teamed up with a distributor. It comes at a time when a growing number of installers and end users are recognising the need for remote monitoring in the event that their in-house system fails to operate or cannot be accessed, and it means that more installers and their customers will get to experience the advantages of the CMC.’
