Control of vehicle access

by Mark Rowe

Hanwha Techwin Europe Ltd has launched a WiseNet Access camera, which can be put to work out of the box to control vehicle access.

The WiseNet Access product uses the features in the open platform WiseNet SNO-6084R/ANP 2MP Full HD bullet camera which includes built-in infra-red LEDs, de-fog and Digital Image Stabilisation (DIS). These features work with the latest Automatic Number Plate Recognition software, which is pre-loaded onto the cameras to let users log, monitor and control all vehicles entering a site 24/7, regardless of the lighting or site conditions, the product developers say.

The camera generates event notifications when an authorised vehicle number plate is recognised and these can be configured to trigger access control operations such as opening or closing a barrier, as well as sending activity reports and snapshots via email or FTP.

Application

Dan England, Technology Partner Manager for Hanwha Techwin Europe said: “By pre-loading an ANPR Application which has been fully tested and evaluated onto Samsung branded cameras, we are looking to save installers, systems integrators and users, considerable time and effort in having to research the long list of available ANPR solutions. Equally important, with the Arteco Application ready to run out-of-the box on the WiseNet SNO-6084R/ANP Access camera, installation time and cost is minimised and users can take immediate advantage of a seamless integrated solution.”
