Canary Wharf contract

by Mark Rowe

Crawley-based Vindex Systems have been appointed as the on-site maintenance provider for Canary Wharf Estate in London Docklands, on a three-year contract.

Lee England, Security Technology Contracts Manager at Canary Wharf said: “The Vindex Systems offer was creative and excellent value showing an understanding of the issues we encounter day to day; their response gave a solid approach to everyday maintenance and operations and also demonstrating their ability to deploy new technology to meet our changing demands.”

The contract covers all of the access control (the C.Cure product from Software House), CCTV (to be precise, the Omnicast product from Genetec, as featured in the June 2016 print issue of Professional Security magazine) and all intercoms. Vindex says this fits their profile as as a top level partner with C.Cure, Genetec and Commend. The installer’s work last year included the refurbishment of Commonwealth House, 1 New Oxford Street and a distribution centre in the Midlands for retailer Primark.
