Qvis Monitoring, a sister company of the security product distributor Adata held its first open day in September at their head office in Hampshire. The open day let installer customers see the alarm receiving centre (ARC), which was recently awarded NSI Gold and SSAIB accreditations. The event was supported by partners including Optex, BT Redcare, CSL Dual Com, Emizon, Western Digital, Altron and Nexus. Besides traditional Intruder and CCTV monitoring services the ARC launched QTrak a location-based service. This consists of GPS, GPRS and WiFi tracking and devices. The ARC can pinpoint locations whether of vulnerable persons, livestock or assets.
