Agent Vi, Dahua integration

by Mark Rowe

Dahua Technology, the video surveillance product manufacturer, and Agent Video Intelligence, the video analytics software company, report the integration of Agent Vi’s savVi video analytics software suite with Dahua’s Digital Surveillance System (DSS) line of video management systems (VMS).

DSS is based on a modular design which enables deployment of each service module according to customer needs. DSS integrated video-based features such as live view, playback, map and ANPR. savVi offers real-time event detection, video search and business intelligence. savVi’s automated video analysis tools provide detection and extraction of events and data from surveillance footage, replacing the manual and time-consuming tasks traditionally employed to monitor live video feeds or sift through recorded video, the developer says.

For “Smart City” uses, video analytics tools are for managing city-wide events in real-time, creating situational awareness as an event unfolds, and investigating in the post-event forensic search phase. Other vertical markets, include education, industry, police, Critical Infrastructure and property management, the firms add.

Daniel Chau, Overseas Marketing Director of Dahua Technology, said: “Open, Integration and Innovation have been our guiding principles. Integration with Agent Vi brings world class video analytics features to the users of DSS platform. We are excited about the business opportunities for both Agent Vi and Dahua. ”

And Yaron Shafrir, Agent Vi Business Development Director for China, said, “In recent years, Dahua has ranked consistently among the top global video surveillance equipment market suppliers. We are honoured to cooperate with a market leader such as Dahua, and envision the cooperation as a long-term strategic partnership that can serve both Agent Vi’s and Dahua’s global customers.”
