Products for bank branches

by Mark Rowe

Evolis, the payment card printer company, has launched three new products for card issuance in bank branches. The product line offers the French firm says new functionalities complying with international security guidelines for the issuance of payment cards in banks. The products will be on show for the first time during Seamless Middle East, the payments, e-commerce and retail show in Dubai on May 1 and 2, 2017.

All three systems embed a new technology patented by Evolis. The KINECLIPSE process is new the firm says on direct-to-card printers. KINECLIPSE masks any residual sensitive card holder information on the printing ribbon. This process makes the stock management of ribbons easier and more secure for banks, the company says.

The printers contain an electromechanical locking system with dual access control as well as data encryption for secured communication with all systems interfacing these printers. The product line has three products:

Issengo: a compact printer for flat card printing
Privelio: a modular printer with several card feeders enabling a bank to personalize and issue different flat card designs.
Privelio XT: combines the functionalities of Privelio with an embossing and indenting module.

All three systems can be interfaced via an integrated server, Evolis Mosaic, developed for the new banking line, which aids a bank’s IT system integration it is claimed. The built-in PC card makes the flow of card customization data inaccessible to criminals, while ensuring a secure communication, the product firm says. The server enables the user to drive the printer via the cloud without connection to a PC installed next to the printer. Visit www.evolis.com.
