NBS Technologies is celebrating 40 years of business in 2014. The Canadian company is a software and equipment provider for Smart Card manufacturing, Card Personalization and Mobile Applications. The company was founded in 1974. NBS operations expanded from Canada to include the United States, France and the United Kingdom with 105 dealers to service customers worldwide.

In 2004, NBS completed their acquisitions of UbiQ Inc., a smart card software firm, and Cybernetix Microelectronique SAS, a smart card manufacturing equipment provider. The company’s products include: EMV issuance software, NBS Trusted Service Manager (TSM) which provides a platform for distributing and managing mobile payment applications on NFC enabled mobile devices, card desktop printers and embossers, high-volume card personalization equipment, smart card manufacturing equipment and wafer packing tools.
