Ward director

by Mark Rowe

The guarding company Ward Security has appointed Julian Roche as Director. This follows the appointment in January of Paul Barnard as Director of Security, Risk and Mitigation, to support clients specifically with counter terrorism planning. He will focus on assisting City based clients allowing Operations Director, Dan Liddiard to manage the company’s national portfolio.

Julian was Regional Director at Ultimate Security; he joins with 30 years of operational experience in the security industry. His record includes the setting up and operating of The Shard, the London iconic skyline building, and he was also instrumental in managing the security mobilisation for the Olympic Village in preparation for London 2012 on behalf of LOCOG. This role included overseeing the transition of the park from a construction to a corporate site.

Kevin Ward, Managing Director of Ward Security, said: “We are committed to being the best quality supplier of security services in the City and our recent 170 ACS score underpins this commitment, firmly placing us in the top 1-2pc of all security companies in the UK. Over the last 12 months our business expansion has continued along with our need to recruit senior personnel who can both assist the day to day operations team and have the skill set needed to plan robust security strategies. It is crucial when we experience growth in the business that we also have the correct infrastructure in place to ensure the quality of our service will never be compromised regardless of the number, size or scope of the projects we are managing at any one time. Julian’s extensive experience of running the security for complex and high-profile sites fits extremely well with our client needs and his skills provide us a very strong and knowledgeable client team.”

Julian, pictured, said: “Ward Security has an excellent track record and reputation in the security industry and it’s an exciting time to join and be part of its progression. I am impressed by how the company is using the latest technology to assist and inform clients on operational activities as well as how the business ensures quality and best practice is built into every client contract.”
