Vehicle rental deal

by Mark Rowe

After the recent opening of Burnt Tree’s new vehicle rental and contract hire branch in Southampton, the company has gained an 18 vehicle rental deal with local company Kestrel Guards.

The three-year deal covers fleet replacement for Kestrel and includes the supply of 15 Ford Fiesta and three Peugeot Partner vans. These have now all gone into service with the Southampton-based company, providing mobile patrol, key holding and alarm response services to customers from West Sussex to Cornwall.

James Matthews, director at Kestrel Guards said: “During the negotiations, Burnt Tree provided us with a tailored solution to our fleet requirements, including essential support out of hours. This is key for us as the majority of our security work is done during the night, so we needed full reassurance that they would be able to support us at all times of the day and night.”

Most of the vehicles are now based out of Kestrel’s head office in Southampton, with three at the company’s branch in Redruth, Cornwall.

“Another significant advantage of working with Burnt Tree has been their flexibility to our requirements whenever we have been in need of additional short-term vehicles to supplement our fleet and this has really impressed us,” added Matthews.
