SW Expo

by Mark Rowe

An expo to showcase fire and security products has been hailed a success – and a date has already been set for next year’s event. The Fire and Security Expo 2016 at the Exeter Chiefs rugby stadium at Sandy Park will be repeated at the same venue on October 4, 2017.

Visitors from sector businesses and organisations from around the South West attended, to see demonstrations of equipment and technology. A business card draw was won by Plymouth University security officer Ken Stokes, who received the prize of a signed Exeter Chiefs rugby ball.

Scott Boyd, Managing Director, Securi-Guard Fire and Security, said afterwards: “Thanks also to the support of some of our key industry suppliers we were able to offer visitors access to a very wide range of fire and security solutions on the day.

“The feedback we have received has been extremely positive, both from visitors and exhibitors alike. We will certainly be looking to build on that success at next year’s event.”

The expo attracted UK fire and security manufacturers and distributors.

Securi-Guard and LogiScan thank the 2016 exhibitors for their support:

– Xtralis, which offers mobile, perimeter, multi-site and enterprise security products
– Apollo Fire Detectors Ltd, manufacturers of fire detection solutions for commercial and industrial uses
