Leicester work for charity

by Mark Rowe

The Nottingham-based guarding contractor Foremost Security reports that it’s branching out into Leicester. It’s selected local charity, Soft Touch Arts, to receive free security services. Foremost Security reports over 45 clients already in the Leicester area.

The agreement with Soft Touch Arts stemmed from networking event that Foremost attended in June. The charity, who help young disadvantaged people in Leicester, held a ‘Show and Tell’ evening giving businesses in the area a chance to network.

After understanding a little more about how the charity works, Matt Prince, Business development Manager at Foremost, was keen to see how they could help. He said: “We’ve offered Soft Touch free Keyholding and Alarm Response services and are excited to see what this new relationship may bring on both parts. The charity carry out some amazing work and we’re delighted to be able to support them in any way we can.”

The security firm, an SIA-approved contractor, adds that it has already acquired new business in the city as a result. Soft Touch Arts also indicated that they would like Foremost to attend future networking events to deliver talks and seek further business opportunities in Leicester.

Christina Wigmore is the Business Strategic Director at Soft Touch Arts, on New Walk in the centre of Leicester, near the city’s art gallery. She said: “Soft Touch Arts are really impressed with the approach and service provided by Foremost Security. They attended a special event we were holding to engage with local businesses and offered to provide a key holding/alarm response service for our building as pro-bono charity support. They are a really professional company and as well as providing a great service they are giving back by supporting a local charity.”

Previous and ongoing charity work from Foremost involves sponsorship of Nottinghamshire football team, Dunkirk Juniors, and participation in the ‘Leicester Big 10K’ race for The Lullaby Trust. Visit http://www.foremost-security.co.uk/.
