Event award

by Mark Rowe

The event security contract company Showsec scooped an industry accolade for an eighth year at the TPi Awards in London.

They were named Favourite Crowd Management/Security Company when the awards were handed out at a ceremony attended by more than 1,100 guests from across the live music business at The Novotel Hammersmith.

The TPi Awards mark the achievements of the most talented, most successful individuals and service companies in the industry. Managing Director Mark Harding, pictured, who was at the awards, said the latest accolade meant as much as each of the previous seven.

“It’s always a tremendous honour to be recognised in this way by our fellow industry peers,” he said after the event.

“It’s been another year of record-breaking progress and achievements for the company and we are proud to have provided crowd management and security services for so many events across the United Kingdom in that time. Whether it is local one-off events or the major festivals, we are committed to delivering a personal service of the highest standard.

“Throughout the company, we are constantly striving to set new benchmarks in the industry and this award is a reflection of the professionalism, dedication and phenomenal efforts of every member of staff. Such recognition gives everyone added incentive to push even harder to achieve even greater levels of excellence for our clients.”

The Favourite Crowd Management/Security Company was one of 27 awards which were handed out on the night in London. The TPi Awards were hosted by BBC 6 music presenter and Fun Lovin’ Criminals frontman Huey Morgan.
