Employee awards

by Mark Rowe

Axis Security marked the achievements and efforts of its employees during its seventh annual in-house awards ceremony.

At the Honourable Artillery Company in London, the security contractor presented three awards: Security Employee of the Year, National Team of the Year, and London Team of the Year.

The company says that the three awards given out to staff were recognising a strong work ethic, clear customer service skills, and a thorough commitment to all aspects of the job.

Employee of the Year went to Neil Wilcox, Security Manager at Ark Data Centres, for his ‘above and beyond commitment’. Starting work as a security officer in 2010, early potential earned Neil a promotion to the role of supervisor, and again to his current position as security manager. He now manages a team of 22 officers at Ark Data Centres, in Farnborough.

The Crown Estates, St James’s security team, took the London Security Team of the Year; and Dean Kelly, security supervisor, collected the National Security Team of the Year award on behalf of colleagues working at Wulfrun Shopping Centre, Wolverhampton.

Chris Wisely, Managing Director for Axis Security, says: “We are genuinely proud of the commitment of our teams and individuals who are a credit to themselves, our customers, and our business.” Visit http://www.axis-security.co.uk.
