Corps hails account wins

by Mark Rowe

Corps Security reports a number of new account wins, which the company says have seen it smash its annual sales target in the first six months of its financial year.

Corps says this mirrors the findings of a study earlier this year from market analyst, Plimsoll, which found that half of the firms questioned are increasing sales and improving profits, with a significant proportion of them delivering growth rates of up to eight per cent.

The Corps says that its most recent contract wins come from diverse sectors including banking and local government, and an unidentified world famous art institute. The company’s security officers have also been deployed at the Wellcome Trust’s central London headquarters. Also in the healthcare sector, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust gave Corps Security a contract after a competitive tender with six other security providers, all of which are part of the London Procurement Partnership framework.

As well as physical security, Corps Security is supplying a range of patient supervisory services to protect doctors, nurses and patients in acute care, as well as ensuring that those receiving treatment do not harm themselves. This is a particularly sensitive area, the contract guard firm adds, and the company’s officers are given specialist training.

Corps Security points to its corporate structure and that it can cost effectively combine physical security with surveillance technology and remote monitoring.

Nik Flytzanis, pictured, Corps Security’s business development manager, adds that he is convinced that the wins are also due to all vertical sectors recognising the importance of using specialist providers, rather than those offering ‘bundled’ services. He says: ‘Security is quite unlike any other service and, due to our clear focus and dedication to this field, we are able to provide a comprehensive solution that always meets our customers’ unique needs. I’m delighted that we are now able to offer our expertise to prestigious organisations such as the Wellcome Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, who I’m confident will benefit enormously from our uniquely ethical and innovative approach to service delivery.’
