Broker schemes

by msecadm4921

The specialist schemes broker and underwriting agent, Macmillan Sheikh, has expanded its security and cleaning schemes facilities for brokers. The company says that volumes of business from all sorts of brokers – commercial and personal –  means underwriters have widened the  range of Macmillan Sheikh’s binding authorities enabling wider risks to be considered, irrespective of size, including those where there have been claims or where hazardous activities are undertaken.

Macmillan Sheikh’s Chairman and Chief Executive, Lord Sheikh, says: “Our competitive rates alongside strong growth over the last year or so, has resulted in increased capacity from our underwriters. We are now able to place virtually all types of risks, something which is essential in the cleaning industry where, for example, the use of hazardous chemicals, processes and applications is frequently becoming the norm.  And, in recent years the security industry scope has widened considerably.  It’s not just nightclub door security, but includes, for example, detention centres, huge shopping malls and many places where the public gathers including, of course, theforthcoming Olympic Games. These are all scenarios to which our binding authority now extends. Most of my team at Macmillan Sheikh have a history of creating, designing and operating insurance schemes to fit the needs of the industry sectors in which we are interested and I’m pleased to say that although a relatively new company, Macmillan Sheikh will be launching new schemes in the very near future.”

Based in London’s West End, Macmillan Sheikh Plc are underwriting agents and insurance brokers offering specialist schemes and insurance products to, among others, the security, cleaning, electrical, plumbing,air-conditioning and gas-fitting sectors.
