Accolades for company, CEO

Octavian Security, the Nottingham-based UK security contractor, reports that in 2014 it’s added nine awards to its trophy cabinet. The haul is made up of company-wide wins, as well as individual accolades for CEO and founder Sukhi Ghuman, pictured.

Octavian’s international accolades include the IBBF International Business of the Year Award , which sees experts from the Indo British Business Forum recognise business growth and success. On a personal level, Ghuman was also named a Bronze Winner in the Executive of the Year category at the International Business Awards .

Also the firm was crowned winners of the Business of the Year at the British Indian Awards . Sukhi Ghuman said: “When I formed Octavian, I set out to create a company that would provide the very best security services around. We’ve had our fair share of challenges, but each one has helped us grow as a business and it’s always great to have this success recognised.”

A finalist for the Nottinghamshire Chamber Awards Entrepreneur of the Year and The Sikh Awards Entrepreneur of the Year , Sukhi Ghuman was also shortlisted for the Asian Achievement Awards, highlighting his part in the British-Asian business community. Ghuman added: “The award nominations haven’t stopped coming this year and what’s more impressive is the diverse scope of categories that we have featured in. From business awards to cultural success, these accolades demonstrate our business acumen and innovate thinking in the best way possible and the Octavian team deserves full credit for their achievements.”

And at the MSDUK Supplier of the Year Awards , the UK non-profit membership organisation for inclusive procurement, company and founder were nominated as finalists for the Innovation, Responsible Business and Entrepreneur of the Year categories.
