The manufacturer of life safety products, Hochiki Europe (UK) Limited, has appointed Graham Lowe as its new managing director.

Lowe, pictured, previously held the position of sales director. He has worked for the firm for more than 20 years, having built up four decades of experience within the life safety industry. His appointment came after a successful financial year at Hochiki Europe, in which the business celebrated a record annual turnover for 2016-17.

Lowe joined in 1996 as regional sales manager for the northern region and has had various roles in the company, developing expertise from electrical engineering and the design of fire detection systems, to sales and senior management.

Lowe said: “Over the last decade, Hochiki Europe has continued to lead the way in the design and manufacture of innovative life safety solutions. The last year was an especially exciting one for the business. We were able to strengthen our position in the Italian market with the acquisition of Device and Electronic Systems (DES srl), and the creation of Hochiki Italia. We also increased our presence in Africa by investing in our sales team presence in the region.

“Over the years, I’ve been involved with some fantastic projects at Hochiki Europe, including the installation of our technology at London St. Pancras train station as well as the creation of the company’s international research and development centre. Going forward, I will be helping the business to grow its position as a leading life safety systems manufacturer in the international overseas markets, as well as supporting the development of an in-depth product range which will match the evolving needs and expectations of our customers.”
