Video intercom updated

by Mark Rowe

Aiphone has updated its GT video intercom, with a new high resolution camera and a seven-inch LCD monitor screen.

The GT system was introduced by Aiphone as a system for housing, from small multi-tenant buildings to large private developments. Over the years the firm adds it has also been used by installers for commercial buildings, education campuses and in healthcare.

Supporting up to 500 video intercom stations, the GT offers handset and hands-free communication with up to four security guard stations and 16 entry panels, which come with 170 degree PTZ cameras to enable tenants to see their visitors.

Wyatt Taylor, Sales Manager of Aiphone UK Ltd, said: “We intend to continually improve the GT system in response to evolving market requirements. We have just released an upgraded camera unit and new monitor stations that take advantage of the clearer picture. We are also planning to introduce an IP expansion and redesigned entrance station panels during the summer of 2017. The good news is that existing as well new users will be able to take advantage of these incremental improvements in the GT system.”
