SANS Institute, the cybersecurity training and certification body, has appointed a dedicated ICS (Industrial Control Systems) and SCADA Director for the EMEA region. Ben Kaintoch brings ICS security experience to SANS having worked with many of the world’s largest organisations while at QinetiQ, Lockheed Martin and most recently L3 TRL Technology.
In 2012, SANS set up standardised training and GIAC certification to assist those tasked with protecting critical national infrastructure. The initiative equips IT security and control system engineers with the security awareness, work-specific knowledge, and hands-on technical skills needed to secure automation and control system technology.
