PCI DSS accolade

by Mark Rowe

The secure payment products and customer contact product company Eckoh plc has won a PCI (Payment Card Industry) Excellence Award at the inaugural 2017 awards.

Eckoh says that its win was secured through its work for Target, a financial and administrative software services company that sells insurance for its clients and collects arrears payments for mortgages and loans. Target’s challenge was to remove its contact centres from PCI DSS (Data Security Standard) scope and ensure remaining services were PCI DSS compliant and achieve all this within eight weeks from contract start and within budget.

Russell Fox, Head of IT Operations & Support at Target Group said: “The Eckoh team were fantastic, worked calmly under pressure, provided regular updates and exceptional project management. The implementation took just six weeks to implement, beating the eight-week curfew by two solid weeks. We were extremely impressed with their efficiency, dedication and technical knowledge.”

Tony Porter, Global Head of Marketing at Eckoh, is pictured right collecting the award. He said afterwards: “We’re delighted to be the first ever recipient of a PCI Excellence Award. We’re also proud of our work with Target and that we were able to deliver the solution that enabled them to enhance their customer service. Our CallGuard solution continues to drive high levels of interest from customers who are looking to address regulatory pressure as well as respond to growing public demand for more secure payments in contact centres.”
