by Mark Rowe

At the IT firm Intel Security, Paul Heath has joined as Regional Director for Government, Health and Education. Paul joins with public sector experience and will be working alongside Gordon Morrison, Director of Government Relations, with Government bodies and the public sector to provide counsel.

Paul joins from VCE where he sold Converged Infrastructure Data Centres to UK central Government, MoD, SIA, police and Scottish Government as Government Business Development Director. Earlier he held positions as Public Sector Business Unit Director at Centerprise International and Public Sector Sales Director for the UK at Avaya.

Paul spent ten years at Microsoft, where he ran Microsoft’s UK Premier support business, before moving to Dell where he held numerous roles including managing UK SI relationships before moving onto Regional Sales Manager for Central Government and Defence, and finally managing Dell’s Public Sector Channel business in EMEA.

Nigel Bolt, UK and Ireland Vice President, Intel Security Group, said: “We’re delighted to have Paul join Intel Security, with his vast public sector experience to support the great work of the Government and public sector team. As Government, the NHS and other public sector bodies become increasingly popular targets for cyber attackers, it has never been more important to have industry experts who understand the specific challenges that the public sector faces.”

Paul is a keen road cyclist and organises charity cycle rides for cancer charities, and he also plays the bass guitar and regularly plays in an R&B/Rock band at local pubs and clubs. Bolt added: “Great companies don’t just need great solutions, but great people, and we’re confident that Paul will bring a great deal to Intel Security’s public sector team.”
