Y3K endorses IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

Paul Singh, CEO at the Y3K Group, has endorsed IFSEC and the show’s move to London as he announced the company’s exclusive support of IFSEC.

Y3K, the UK CCTV distributor, has announced this week that Y3K will be working exclusively with UBM and supporting IFSEC 2014 on its relocation to London. He said: “Having conducted a full review of Y3K’s strategic requirements for 2014, we have decided to support IFSEC exclusively and continue our long-standing partnership. We had the option of participating in both IFSEC and a newly launched event, which is being held just one month earlier. As part of the decision-making process, I spoke with many industry colleagues and customers and asked them, firstly, if the industry needs two shows that are essentially in the same space and, secondly, if they would visit one, both or neither. The result was clear and IFSEC was the conclusive winner.

“We have been exhibiting at IFSEC for 12 years now and during that period we have grown from a tiny start-up business to a multinational manufacturer and distributor. A large part of that success is a direct result of our growing presence at IFSEC. For us it is the number 1 and only event in the UK worth exhibiting at or attending. I do believe in healthy competition, but a similar event one month before IFSEC International was, in my opinion, not right for the UK market.”
