Videotec-DVS deal

by Mark Rowe

The security and CCTV equipment distributor DVS has signed a distribution agreement with Videotec, the manufacturer of outdoor CCTV products.

Pictured left to right are Videotec regional country manager Bob Groom and DVS managing director Shaun Bowie.

At DVS Shaun Bowie said the Italian company’s products were an ideal addition to DVS’s CCTV equipment. He said: “Videotec is renowned as the world leader in high quality, high technology surveillance camera positioning units, housings, LED lighting equipment and CCTV accessories. Their design-led sensibility means that not only are Videotec’s products highly functional and effective, they’re also attractive on an aesthetic level – which leads to increased end-user interest and more project work for installers and integrators.”

The distributor will stock all of Videotec’s standard housings, LED lighting range and accessories. DVS will also supply Videotec’s Ulisse positioning units, the only range of pan and tilt units in the world able to be driven by ONVIF IP protocols, carry an IP Camera (HD or Megapixel) with a large lens, and maintain 360 degree rotation whilst carrying LED IR Lights. DVS will stock all of Videotec’s specialist housing range, which includes marine housings and housings and PTZs for use in the oil and gas industries.

And Bob Groom said: “I am incredibly happy to be working with DVS. Their dedication to providing solutions to the CCTV industry and being at the forefront of technology mirrors the ethos within Videotec. Both Videotec and DVS are well placed to support customers with the changes from analogue to IP solutions. Working closely together, this partnership will enable us to meet our customers’ needs more quickly and efficiently.”
