by Mark Rowe

The UK security wireless transmission product company Vemotion is to attend the Indo Defence Expo from November 2 to 5 in the Indonesian capital Jakarta. The privately-owned Thirsk-based firm has recently announced moves into several international territories, including USA, Canada, Africa, and France and can be found alongside business partner, Cornerstone, on stands A245 and A246 at the Expo.

Stewart McCone, CEO of Vemotion, pictured, is to attend the Indo Defence Expo for what will be the first time. He said: “Vemotion now has vast international experience, so I’m delighted to be able to add another string to our bow when we attend the Indo Defence Expo. We know how important events like these can be in creating relationships with vital local territory business contacts, so we’re very excited to see who we can demonstrate Vemotion to in Jakarta and the Indonesian sub-region.”

A four day event, the Indo Defence Expo will be held at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), and will see 750 exhibitors – including defence, aerospace and marine industries – from 55 countries.

“We will be presenting the very latest and innovative technology when it comes to wireless video transmission,. Vemotion can be used anywhere in the world and wirelessly transmitted from a plethora of sources and devices including body cameras, traditional CCTV and public transport CCTV. We’re incredibly excited to be able to demonstrate our latest technology at the Indo Defence Expo.”

And meanwhile Vemotion is setting up an office in Paris. The firm has worked with the Gendarmerie on several projects over many years, as well as bringing live streaming to Marseille’s bus network. Stewart McCone said: “We’re pleased to be continuing our positive engagement with the French security market. Establishing a presence in Paris was a logical next step, as we continue to receive an upsurge in enquiries and opportunities from the French sector. We’re pleased to be making a positive contribution to the future safety and security of France and its citizens, through the delivery of high quality video services and of course our superb customer support.”

Vemotion reports that it’s working on multiple contracts with French security partners, who will help to promote Vemotion’s products at upcoming trade events. Vemotion’s done work with AN2V (www.an2v.org), a not-for-profit ‘Think Tank’ promoting CCTV and surveillance.

Dominique Legrand, founder and President of AN2V said: “AN2V has been working for over 12 years now to bring the French CCTV industry together on areas of mutual interest and during that time we have developed a strong working relationship with Stewart and Vemotion. The news that Vemotion will, now have an office in Paris is welcome news and as a supporter of Vemotion and its products for a number of years, we are very much looking forward to seeing them with a base on French soil.”
