Tecton app

by Mark Rowe

A Tecton app is available from Google play. It controls a virtual matrix fed by the CCTV product manufacturer’s products such as the Liberator, Servalan (pictured) and HD Mate. Any camera of any type is available on any monitor anywhere. The Android device can act as a matrix monitor, displaying any image from the CCTV system. The UK company describes the Android App as the second most popular ‘product for Tecton to make’, in a competition the firm held last year …. the most popular was a machine to predict the result of the National lottery. Most existing Liberator installations will need a firmware upgrade (you can upgrade over the network) to operate with an Android device. A virtual matrix can also be controlled by a Tecton keyboard. The company adds that the cost of the MATE with a 500Gb solid state disk has reduced by 30 per cent, due to falling solid state disk prices.
