Concurrent conference commended for reviewing pressing domestic industry issues

Part of Secutech India 2014’s biggest goal was to bring together government officials and commercial firms to look at the growing security issues India is facing. Over the fair’s first two days, discussions at the Secutech India Safety and Security Conclave (SISSC-2014) aimed to address the growth of India’s security market, while also trying to tackle some of the domestic industry’s biggest challenges. Topics included:

Secured Cash Management for Banks & ATMs
Cyber Security Challenge: Mission Critical Data Security
Security Solutions for the Oil and Gas, Energy Sector
Future Trends with Security in Home Automation

Parag Vora, Head of Group Security at Mahinda & Mahindra Ltd, was a guest speaker at a discussion on India’s booming security and safety market. He said: “The biggest challenge that the Security Industry faces today is government recognition or the absence of it. An industry event like Secutech brings professionals from various sectors to a common platform, and provides a stage to voice their security concerns. This is my second year at the show and the themes set up for conferences this year are of valued importance. Through these conferences, we hope to create an independent body that can mirror our voice to the government and policy makers.”

Hari Bisht, Head-SBU at ESMS (I) Pvt Ltd said: “This is the second time I have attended Secutech India. The concurrent conference was a good channel where industry experts and players from different professions were gathered and given a chance to interact with each other. I found it to be a helpful event where I could learn about the direction of the industry’s development, and possible solutions to deal with the challenges ahead.”
