Remote deal

Corps Security has announced a new agreement with Atec Security, a Wolverhampton and London-based installer of access control and CCTV. The arrangement will allow all Atec clients to buy remote surveillance from the Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC).

 

 

The CMC provides alarm receiving and CCTV monitoring services to customers in a range of market sectors on an independent basis, or as part of an integrated service. Eric Roberts, Corps Security’s CMC business development director, said: ‘Located in Glasgow, this state of the art facility highlights Corps Security’s commitment to innovation and forward thinking. To complement this resource we have also attained National Security Inspectorate (NSI) Gold accreditation to go with our existing BS 8418 and ISO 9001:2008 certifications.’ 

 

‘We install cutting edge IP based CCTV networks and security management packages so clients can provide safe and secure environments for their stakeholders,’ said Atec Security’s managing director, Simon Adcock. ‘Specialising in critical infrastructure, public space and multi-site commercial operations, we deliver innovative solutions that offer low total cost of ownership combined with tangible business benefits. Post installation, business continuity is supported with our emergency response service, guaranteeing fix times from six hours.’

 

Although it has used CCTV monitoring centres in the past Atec had a negative experience that meant that it had not felt confident in recommending this type of service to customers. However, after hearing third party comment about the CMC and meeting Eric Roberts and his team, it was clear that the two companies shared a common outlook and ethos. One key factor that helped cement the relationship is a commitment to using in particular video analytics. Both companies recently announced agreements with Avigilon, the Canadian IP video product firm. Avigilon’s Control Center HD network video management software has been integrated into the CMC and Corps Security is stimulating interest about the system among approved installers and end users. At the same time Atec Security is promoting the technology to its clients.
