Public space sales

Redvision, the UK-based designer and manufacturer of the X-Series PTZ and dome cameras, reports sales in the town centre and local authority CCTV markets.

Paul Hucker, managing director at Redvision, says: “The X-Series PTZ and dome cameras offer town centres and governmental sites a number of significant benefits. X-Series cameras meet all the requirements of local authority applications, with the sector accounting for 25 per cent of Redvision sales. An efficient and accessible pre and post-sales support service, covering security planning, system design and commissioning, ensures the right product and system is specified for each site and application. We provide a quick response to technical enquiries and offer engineering support when required.”

The X-Series cameras are available in any of the RAL colour range, so that they are unobtrusive and can blend into any site, adds Paul Hucker. “Forest green units are used in parks and architects and conservationists are able to select colours appropriate for new and historical buildings. A corrosion-resistant marine finish is available for coastal locations and there is a full range of brackets and mounts available. The X-Series cameras can be set up in a dome or PTZ configuration for even greater flexibility.”

Redvision specialises in IR and white light, ‘super-efficient’ LED products. The IR light option allows unobtrusive night-time surveillance and the white light option can ‘spot light’ intruders as a deterrent. Both light types have a night-time illumination range of 100m and full facial recognition at 40m. The X-Series Dual Light will switch between IR and white light modes in the same camera, producing it is claimed images in almost any lighting conditions. The camera has settings for day, night and weekend operation. ‘Dark zones’ can also be applied to avoid glare and disturbance to residents.

Redvision LED lighting modules only draw 48W and the LEDs last around six years, the company adds. This reduces maintenance visits, running costs and total cost of ownership – a prerequisite for town centre and local authority sites.
