PTZ series

by Mark Rowe

Dahua Technology, the Chinese manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products based in Hangzhou, recently launched its Eco-Savvy 2.0 series PTZ cameras.

The series offers SD59 and SD50 models. Those two models feature 30x optical zoom capability, as well as smart features to make surveillance easier, the makers say. The PTZ cameras offer users an option the firm says for high-resolution monitoring, 24 hours, in all lighting it’s claimed.

Its compact, 5-inch, design makes it much faster than a metal ball according to the company; the product provides a maximum pan speed of 400 degrees per second, and a maximum tilt speed of 300 degrees per second. A smart detection function can detect progressively moving objects to trigger alarms within the camera’s area of coverage. The IR design, the SD59 model, supports a maximum of 100m infra-red distance. It supports IP66 which ensures the camera can withstand even the harshest weather. Without infra-red, the SD50 camera, pictured, features IP67-rated weatherproofing and IK10-rated vandal-proofing.

This cameras can be used in many fields the makers add such as schools, hotels, parks, shopping malls and supermarkets, factories and on roads. Visit www.dahuasecurity.com.
