PTZ camera

by Mark Rowe

CCTV design and manufacturing company, 360 Vision Technology, has released a new stainless steel variant to their range of Predator ruggedized high-speed PTZ cameras.

Featuring a compact and robust housing fabricated from anti-corrosive 316L stainless steel, ‘Predator Steel’ has been designed to withstand the toughest operational sites the makers say. The product works to a range of extreme temperatures (minus 40 to plus 60 degreesC), and is suitable the makers claim for use in petrochemical, aviation, oil and gas, ports, and onshore and offshore marine surveillance applications.

With a variety of HD and analogue colour/mono camera, and lens size variants available, Predator Steel features the same features as the rest of the Predator range. Model options include a 1080p 30 frames per second 30x HD camera module, and Sony ExView 670 TVL resolution, low-light capability down to 0.01Lux, up to 44x zoom with auto-focus, and wide dynamic range for low-light imaging. In addition, 360 Vision software for colour/mono switch-over, 360 pre-sets, 16 tours and multiple control protocols are all standard.

Mark Rees, Business Development Director at 360 Vision, says: “‘Retaining the look, size and performance of Predator but with the strength of a stainless steel IP68 rated housing, the introduction of this new compact stainless steel version provides installers and end-users with a competitively priced and rugged camera system suitable for deployment within hazardous environments. In addition to great performance, Predator Steel is backed by 360 Vision’s three-year warranty, and first-class sales and after-sales technical support.”
