Megapixels for APEC summit

by Mark Rowe

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting at the National Convention Centre in Beijing had security through megapixel IP cameras from Dahua Technology, the manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products based in Hangzhou.

The 22nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting was in the Chinese capital on November 10 and 11. Eleven leaders or representatives from APEC economies attended.

Dahua 2-megapixel network speed domes (DH-SD-6C1220S-HN) provided real-time recording at high definitions with 1080P HD video output and maximum 150m infra-red distance, for a wide visual range at night as well in other poor lighting; the domes’ ingress protection rating is up to IP66 to stand harsh weather.

Dahua provided also its in-house management software whereby hotels, convention centres and outdoor cameras could be managed 24-hours.

Tim Shen, Overseas Marketing Director at Dahua Technology, said: “We are proud to deliver our solution for such an important event like APEC. Dahua accomplished this task as the APEC successfully hosted and proved once again that Dahua’s IP solution can meet high-level security, providing high definition quality and reliable stability. Projects like this require extremely high and rigid level of products. Based on this success in China, having total solutions becomes a cutting edge for a company to differentiate itself from others. Therefore, Dahua dedicates to technology innovation, enabling to provide more added values, better service and solutions for customers.”
