IP range from Norbain

by Mark Rowe

Available from the electronic security product distributor Norbain, Xeno have launched a new range of IP products. The three camera models and a four channel NVR (network video recorder) come with a one year advanced replacement policy and supported by Norbain.

The camera models include a varifocal bullet (part no), varifocal vandal dome (part no) and fixed lens dome (part no), all offering a wealth of features not usually included within a low cost range. The camera range offers 1080p for full HD resolution up to 60ips (images epr second). With true WDR (120dB), corridor mode and IR illumination, they are the makers say for entrance applications with challenging lighting that need to be monitored 24 hours a day. The products feature:

• Full 1080p HD resolution at 60ips;
• WDR (wide dynamic range);
• Triple streaming;
• IR illumination;
• Varifocal and fixed lens options;
• Corridor mode; and
• Built-in PoE for compact, single cable installation

NVR

The XNR44P NVR will automatically discover and display the cameras. The ability to set the camera video streams from the NVR’s menus means that the engineer does not require a laptop for commissioning. Modelled on the XDR4 range of analogue DVRs, it looks and operates in the same manner. The FOC client software that is supplied with the NVR will also allow communications with both the XDR4 and newer XDR960 analogue DVRs, thereby offering a hybrid solution.The recorder features:

• Auto set-up for plug and play
• No laptop required
• Same interface as Xeno DVR range
• Built-in PoE
• Evidential quality HD 1080p real time recording

As of January 2015, the makers offer as standard replacement on any product in the range that develops a fault within 12 months as a result of a manufacturing or production defect. Visit xeno-cctv.com for details.

Bob Forehand, Xeno Product Manager, says: “The new Xeno IP range aptly combines simplicity and functionality without breaking the bank. The plug and play feature on the NVR provides incredibly quick and hassle-free set up, whilst the cameras come with a host of high quality features suitable for most applications. It really does offer a reliable, quality option for those cost-conscious installations.”
