Hikvision, the Chinese supplier of video surveillance products, reports its local office in Johannesburg, South Africa, is open to serve the African market.
James Dong, managing director of Hikvision South Africa, said: “Hikvision has gained massive acceptance in the market, a position that has strengthened over time, with the company holding a 16.3pc share of the global surveillance industry market. Our rapid growth requires us to pay closer attention to localization, and to be able to provide instant local support.”
The office has a demonstration area where customers can see and interact with the company’s latest products, as well as a seminar room.
Dong added: “We appreciate the continued support and understanding from our partners over the years, and now it is just the right time to open the facility in South Africa to become a venue for us to collaborate more closely. The office will assist Hikvision in delivering best-in-class support and backup to our local partners. We are looking forward to a bright future in the African region.”
