HDCVI system

by Mark Rowe

Dahua Technology, the Chinese manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products based in Hangzhou, has introduced a new 1080p HDCVI system. Offered are 1080p 1200-Lite-series HDCVI cameras and S2-series tri-brid DVRs.

The 1200-Lite-series of camera includes infra red-bullets and domes, and fixed and vari-focal lenses are optional. The camera chipset offers sensors and ISP, which provide image quality and details, besides a wider angle of view. The in-house TX chipset is embedded in the ISP, making the camera quite compact, according to the firm.

The camera comes with smart IR technology, and photo-resister, for a more accurate day-night switch. The product’s noise reduction can not only save HDD storage capacity, but also help render visual effects even under low light, which makes the product suitable the makers say for applications such as underground parking lot or anywhere in dim light.

John Li, HDCVI Product Manager at Dahua, said: “There was something hovering in my mind during product planning phase. At that time, what I was thinking was how to perfectly leverage performance and price, for example, we were keen to present very competitive 1080p HDCVI camera, satisfying HD surveillance with basic functions acquired. Most of all, the product should stay with a very friendly price and 1200-lite-series is the answer.”

Dahua also offers its tri-brid HDCVI S2-seies DVRs (HCVR S2 series). Jason Zhong, Product Manager at Dahua, said: “We had indeed introduced some HCVRs before, but what makes S2 different is that this series is ready to replace all the conventional DVRs. S2 has the best color reproduction than ever.”

Thanks to the ultra UTP EQ function, the S2-series is able to support longer transmission distances; for example, 1100m for 720p with clear images and 800 meters for 1080p. This series supports 4G/Wi-Fi, making transmission smoother and faster, it’s claimed.

This new Lite HDCVI product line-up will make its debut in ISC West, in Las Vegas, from April 15 to 17 when you can visit Dahua’s booth #13062. Also see other upcoming trade shows including Expo Seguridad, Secutech and IFSEC. Visit www.dahuasecurity.com.
