According to the firms this turnkey package enables the deployment of large-scale enterprise surveillance systems while minimising resources and set-up time.

BCDVideo says that its Nova Series servers are suited for enterprise IP video surveillance applications, and large systems supporting hundreds of megapixel cameras. These network appliances come with pre-verified hardware configurations designed for Genetec Security Center, and can be deployed as a unified security system, or as a standalone platform for video, access control, license plate recognition. The open architecture of Genetec Security Center allows customers to select their preferred cameras, door controllers and edge device hardware from a range of manufacturers.

Jeff Burgess, President at BCDVideo, said: “Genetec Security Center is one of the most open and independent unified IP video surveillance, access control and LPR security platforms in the world. We are delighted to further our collaboration with Genetec to bring their enterprise end users a combined solution based on Security Center and our Nova Series. We have always prided ourselves on our ‘white-glove’ approach to specifying and designing systems for the unique needs of a system integrator.  Now, we are able to collaborate directly with Genetec’s channel partners to build and deliver certified Genetec Security Center systems supportive of all the edge devices in its partner ecosystem, with BCDVideo’s powerful hardware, dependable storage, fast, on-board disaster recovery features, and renowned hardware support.”

Available in multiple rack-mountable configurations (1U, 2U and 5U) and tower form factors, the Nova Series offers a standard five-year on-site “bumper-to-bumper” warranty, RAID storage configuration options, and embedded SMART technology modules to minimise downtime and troubleshooting. BCDVideo is HP’s global OEM Partner for IP Video Security.
