FLIR at Intersec 2016

by Mark Rowe

FLIR will be exhibiting the HS-X Command 320, PAL, 9Hz, Monocular Camera, as well as the HS-XR Command 640, PAL, 9Hz, Monocular Camera at Intersec 2016 Dubai. The annual exhibition runs from January 17 to 19, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. FLIR will also be showing the recently released Scout II 640.

A new feature is the interchangeable lenses that can be used on the HS X series as on the thermal imaging product company’s company’s BHS X/XR bi-ocular camera models:

Lens options:
§ 322-0181-12 QD35 -35mm Quick Disconnect Lens, allowing you to detect man size target up to 1.2 miles
§ 322-0195-12 QD65 -65mm Quick Disconnect Lens, allowing you to detect man size target up to 1.1 miles
§ 322-0196-12 QD100 – 100mm Quick Disconnect Lens, allowing you to detect man size target up to 1.5 miles

The makers say that the HS-X and HS-XR monocular camera gives law enforcement users the ability to see more and see further in infra-red than with other low-light night vision goggles. Featuring a full coverage eyepiece, inter-ocular adjustment, ergonomic comfort, straightforward controls, the FLIR BHS-Series monocular is the company says for extended patrols, covert surveillance, critical infrastructure protection, and high-threat security missions.

Package Includes:

The HS X and BHS-X / XR Series Handheld Thermal Camera (lens purchased separately), Hot Shoe Charging and Video Output Attachment, four rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries, AC Power Adapter/Charger, Neck Lanyard, USB Cable, Video Output Cable, Hard Carrying Case, Product CD with Ops Manual and also available as full frame 30Hz licensed.
